I was visiting from out of state when my cousin suggested we go out for some shaved ice when they had just had their grand opening in June. I was skeptical but I am glad I tried this place out. Their shaved ice is of superb quality. When you taste the shaved ice, it is immediately clear how much effort goes into the process.
We had the delightful opportunity to chat with the owner about his craft. He's truly passionate and believes in Hawaiian shaved ice- the delicacy of slowly shaving each bowl of ice for each customer to give them the ultimate experience.
5 stars alone for uniqueness and committment. If you sit at their tables, you'll see there are holes to place your shaved ice cups into while eating! The building decor is reclaimed wood, interior tables Ohio themed. The owner told us on a busy night, no matter how far the line goes, they will serve every single customer even if it's past closing time! So long as you are in line before closing.
If you are hesitant about giving Hawaiian shaved ice a try and you are in northeast Ohio, stop here first and you will be surprised. Take your time to enjoy the quality and uniqueness of the craft. It's not available everywhere!
