I've been here quite a few times in the past, but today was the first time I ever came for the lunch buffet (I had a coupon for $2 off). The buffet was all you can eat, and included a nice salad bar, and a small selection of German foods, such as schnitzel, spƤtzle, three kinds of meats including brats, a wurst, (and I forget the name of the other one), cabbage, sauerkraut, German potato salad, mashed potatoes, two kinds of soups, and rolls with butter. The only thing missing, in my opinion, were potato pancakes (kartoffelpuffer). The beer was not included in the buffet, and today I had the August brew, "Sommer Weizen" (5.6 % Alc. by Volume, which is a darker, maltier version of the Weizen bier with hints of banana and clove). I enjoyed the buffet, but would probably prefer to order an entree off of the menu next time. Today was the first time I sat outside on the veranda, and it was pleasant sitting outside, watching the river and people go by on the nearby river trail. Nice place for lunch, but no live music today, I guess that is only for when the bier hall is full of people. Prost!
