The airport is huge, efficient and odd at the same time. We were leaving Toronto on a Friday in early June and just returned our car rental in terminal 3 because we missed terminal 1. So we took a train up on second level which took us back to terminal which is nice. The security check wasn't too long after TSA scanned my ticket and told me to go lane 3 to put my belongings in the tray before getting through security check. Next we went to customs to get our passport scanned at the machines then it prints a copy of passport. Then we had to line up at customs station and the person quickly scanned my passport without asking any questions. Finally I was able to walk to the gate but it was a long walk. Before reaching gate 60, they closed the glass door and had to wait until 45 min before our flight to sit at the gate. Strange and we couldn't explore Starbucks or Swiss chalet or other stores because they have a glass wall separating incoming and outcoming. Looks the workers are harmonious and wide selection of ethnic people working there. The airport is very clean and efficient. I wish our LAX Custom people are nice as Toronto Custom people and more efficient.
