Whoo! Let me just say that I am so thankful that this was the location that I had my wisdom teeth extractions at because Dr. Johnson and the staff here were just amazing. I had my consultation done in their Henderson location but the doctor who did my consultation somewhat rubbed me the wrong way. I looked further into Dr. Johnson and everyone seems to have loved him so I knew I would be in good hands if I scheduled my removal at this location even though it would be much farther of a trek for me. I was given a reminder call to make I was aware I had an appointment and to fast 6 hours prior to my appointment time. Checking in and submitting my payment was a very easy process. I was also informed that if I felt the need to schedule a follow-up appointment for my service then it would be free of charge. There was a sign that asked people waiting to please not drink any water or eat in front of patients to be respectful to those who were fasting and I thought that was a very thoughtful small touch. My Honey was asked to wait in a separate waiting area for family members of those being operated on and he liked being there much better. The assistant who helped me get prepped was very nice and made me feel extremely comfortable and so was the other assistant who started my IV. They made sure to answer any and all questions I had so I felt comfortable and even had some light conversations with me so I could relax more. They had warned me beforehand that the anesthesia to put me to sleep would feel very warm. Upon meeting Dr. Johnson, I knew I was in great hands because he was very warm and had great bedside manners with a genuine smile and gave me a rundown of what would happen during my procedure. The very last thing I remembered was him starting my anesthesia to put me to sleep and me saying, "Oh, that does feel very warm...." *drifts* I was very loopy when I woke up and regained full consciousness outside of Walgreens. They had fully instructed my boyfriend on how to take care of me and even supplied us with a great care kit that included the following: instructional care sheet for the day of, after, and week after, salt packets (for my salt rinses), lip balm, tea bags, gauze, and even chicken ramen because I'd need soft foods. I thought that care kit was a very nice touch as well. From my personal experience, I had no swelling during my healing process even though one of them were impacted. I was only numb on one side for the first day. After that, it was just the regular aches and pains from having your teeth removed but nothing that kept me in bed all day. The painkillers I was prescribed definitely made me take some well-deserved naps though. I would recommend Dr. Johnson and his staff to anyone!
