The VA hospital referred me to Ability 360 because I needed to continue aqua therapy for my injuries. This was in March, and after I found them I asked about their therapeutic pool. I was informed that it was outdoors and not open due to costs of keeping it heated in the colder months. As a result I elected not to join. Having a therapeutic pool outdoors and only open during the warmer months is not much help to people who need it outside of those months. I was spending an hour in a heated therapeutic pool twice a week at Select PT and wanted to continue with the therapy. Spending that much time in the water outdoors in the sun is asking for a case of severe sunburn, not to mention having a hot pool deck to walk on. I have been wanting to start aqua therapy again but unfortunately, heated therapeutic pools are few and far between in the Phoenix area.
