We ended up here after my boyfriend's father was craving Asian & we wanted something on the cheaper end of Vegas dining. We also love Thai food and are frequent patrons of Thai restaurants. This place still is Strip-priced, (expect $16+ for fried rice or chow mein), but was decent for where we were. The atmosphere is nice with dark booths and dim lighting. The service was friendly, but were not as attentive as I would have liked. I ordered the vegetarian pad see-ew, which comes with flat rice noodles, broccoli, egg, & tofu. Simple. It also had a green leaf next to it on the menu indicating one of the vegetarian options- which I loved and appreciated. Regardless, when I got my meal (& I was so ravenous I just dug in), my 1st bite was a mix of white tofu & white CHICKEN!!! UGH!!! Manners & impressing the boyfriend's parents pushed aside, I immediately spit up the contents in my napkin. I have been a vegetarian for 17 years now, that was absolutely disgusting & such an inappropriate mistake for a restaurant to make. Also, why on earth would the kitchen staff put in two proteins?! They clearly charge you double for adding extra protein, & this was one of the specially marked vegetarian entrees. Normally I inspect my meals just in case, but I was just so hungry & trusting... It took a long time to get someone's attention to make it right, & they had to remake my dish while I sat there hungry watching everyone else eat. We were also in a hurry that night as we had after dinner plans. When I finally got my new dish, it had no meat, but it was much drier than the original dish. It also did not taste Thai, or like pad see ew, it was like regular Chinese chow fun. Very disappointing. The other people in our party ordered the basil beef fried rice, shrimp curry, beef chow fun, & chicken curry, & each enjoyed their meals. I would still recommend this place if you are craving Asian cuisine in Vegas, but beware, vegetarians!
