To Whom This May Concern,
This is my first attempt to contact Beck Taxi in regards to an event that costed me over $1,100.00CDN due to one of your drivers lack of professionalism and lack of moral judgement.
On February 2, 2015 I ordered a Beck Taxi online.
Here was the Special Requests I had submitted:
- Please be sure the taxi will fit 2 suitcases + 1 child stroller
- Booster seat for toddler
Pick-Up Time: 5:50am
I received a phone call from your Driver at 5:30am. His mobile number is (647) 883-5955.
Driver: I am downstairs waiting
Me: I ordered the taxi for 5:50am! It's 5:30am - we are not ready yet!
Driver: The road conditions are bad, we need more time for travel
Me: I ordered the taxi for 5:50am... My daughter is having her cereal, we'll be down at 5:50am
Driver: OK fine.
My wife, my 2 year old and myself arrived in our lobby at 5:50am. There was no Beck Taxi waiting for us. I waited until 5:52am and called (647) 883-5955. The Beck Taxi driver picked up the phone:
Driver: Hello?
Me: Um... where are you? We don't see you outside!
Driver: Errr... I picked up a group of six people. I am taking them to Lakeshore and Strachan.
Me: Umm.... WHAT???
Driver: I will be back at your place in 15 minutes ok?
Me: I don't understand how you could have picked up another group? You said you were downstairs.
Driver: I thought they were your group.
Me: That's impossible. Unless they have the exact same name as me.
Driver: I will be back in 10 minutes to get you!!!
Me: This is ridiculous.
5 Minutes later... I call back (647) 883-5955.
Driver: Hello? (annoyed)
Me: Where are you now?
Driver: I'm dropping them off now. I will be back in 10 minutes!!! (annoyed)
"Click"
10 minutes later... I call back (647) 883-5955.
Driver: Hello... (sigh - annoyed further)
Me: Where are you?
Driver: I'm on my way back... I will be there soon.
"Click"
With that conversation, we wasted a total of over thirty minutes as by the time we got onto the road (it was past 6:20am) and we made it to the airport at 6:55am. We ended up valet parking our vehicle as we needed to check-in our luggage and we missed the 7am cut off time for our 8am flight.
The additional cost to change our flights plus the difference in price was over $900 for the 3 of us, plus a $200 valet parking charge.
Be assured that BeckTaxi.com is not the only place our displeasure will be broadcasted.
