Simply put, my favorite breakfast in Phoenix. No other breakfast joint can match the deliciousness that is Matt's Big Breakfast. The waffle is still my go-to meal, as it is the right amount of fluffiness. Plus it comes with bacon! And the bacon here is amazing... thick, peppery, and cooked just right. I have a hard time ordering bacon at any other restaurant as it simply does not compare with Matt's. The daily special usually consists of an egg scramble and a side of potatoes and is wonderful as well. The food here cannot be beat.
Now that they've moved to a larger location, too, going to eat is more reasonable. The wait can still be long during peak hours, but it's not nearly as bad as it once was. The restaurant still maintains its character even with a new home.
If I had to pick one restaurant to take a friend for breakfast, this would be it. Breakfast at its finest.
