I have always been a HUGE fan of the Bellagio. I have stayed on many occasions but this most recent trip was extremely disappointing. We booked a Premier Lakefront Room as we love watching the fountains from our room. Every time I have previously stayed, the fountain music plays in the room and the show is spectacular. We paid top dollar for the room at the rate of $400 a night only to get to our room and be told that the music was not available as they were switching cable providers. When I called the manager to complain we were told the problem had just been fixed but it was not. I feel we were duped. The fountain show (the entire reason to pay for the lakefront room) is nowhere near as nice without the music. I feel that Bellagio should have informed us at check in that there was a problem and offered us the option of a different room, especially as we paid a premium for the show. Instead we were offered a refund of the resort fee. Nice, but not nearly enough in my opinion. Not good enough Bellagio, charging full price for a premium room with half a show.
