I was a guest (extended stay) for several months and have paid almost $10,000.00 to La Quinta and my experience was quite different. I was treated so poorly and unprofessionally here: 1) I wasn't told about the points rewards system until months later. 2) An incredibly rude employee, Julie, was dishonest about points being in my account here with La Quinta when I was later told differently by the General Manager, Chris. 3) Same employee, Julie, ran an UNAUTHORIZED charge in the amount of $1300.00 on my credit card and was dishonest about the situation.
After enduring weeks of continued bullying and intimidation from Julie and GM, Chris, the UNAUTHORIZED charge was the last straw. I confronted the two about the illegal charge on my credit card and contacted the District Manger. Chris was told to put all charges back in my account but offered NO APOLOGIES.
(This wasn't an accident that happened in the system: an employee, Julie, ran my card under the GM's approval, is what I was told.)
Warning: My experience with the District Manager, Alan Ames, was equally disappointing. He was only concerned about the illegal, unauthorized charge to my credit card. He didn't care about the poor customer service and his rude employees. He also informed me that he would follow up with me later in the day, but I never received a phone call.
I regret giving La Quinta my business. I only stayed because it was convenient, was traveling a lot, and tried to have minimal contact with Julie and Chris. This was the worst I've ever seen an employee, General Manager, and District Manager act professionally and treat guests, especially in the profession where the business is HOSPITALITY.
