We are new to Madison, living on the south west side. At the end of the day of move in we were starving and tired. We googled local take out and Avanti came up in our search. Italian food is a favorite and in the "comfort food" category for me, which was much needed at the time. We took a chance and ordered carry out. I had the Grilled Portobello Fettuccine and loved every bite! There was actually a large grilled portobello on top. The pasta was not over cooked and the sauce was not too rich, yet delicious. My husband had the Nona's Bolognese. He said it was good but not great. My mother tried the Veal Parmesan. She too thought her meal was good but not great, hence the three stars. All dishes were huge; enough for two for sure. We will definitely try Avanti again.
