The service of MVP Shoe Repair was a bit sub-par. I was trying to have the soles replaced on a pair of my husband's dress shoes, and this place gave me a very cheap quote--this should have been my first tip-off as far as low quality workmanship. However, I was lured in by the too-good-to-believe price. I ended up with janky thick rubber soles replacing the worn ones I had dropped off, making the shoes look nothing like the original pair. They were at least a half-inch taller than the original sole. I was upset, and asked them to fix the shoes using a thinner sole that was more suitable to a men's dress shoe. There must have been some sort of communication error because when I returned the sole was even THICKER than the first time. I was unsure of whether I should ask again for the shoes to be fixed, but since I had already spent a good amount of money to get the shoes fixed I asked once more. On the third round the shoes came out SLIGHTLY better than the first round. I will unfortunately not be returning for more shoe repair work, though the workman was kind and wanted to help me out, he didn't seem equipped to do the work I asked of him. As an added pain, their credit card reader was not working the day I paid. So, they asked me to drive 2 miles away to my bank's ATM in order to pay for service. I was disappointed, and was lugging around my 3 month old daughter in the August heat of Phoenix. The whole experience was just unfortunate. They may be better equipped to handle a different kind of repair, but I do not recommend them for men's dress shoes.
