I had a groupon for an american wave perm. The perm came out okay, my stylist did an excellent job. I bought a shampoo and conditioner from Carmen Carmen that is suppose to help with my perm. They were each $20.00, they weren't terribly expensive. I've been happy with my products. Carmen Carmen would have gotten five stars if I didn't notice that my hair stylist suddenly gave me the cold shoulder when I mentioned my groupon. I had a consultation before hand and I told her at that point, I had a groupon. At the consultation, they tried charging me a consultation fee that would have been waived once I had my service. They didn't have me pay that due to having the groupon but when I asked when booking my appointment, if there would be any fee, the man said he didn't know. Um... he was working at the front desk! How could he not know? Anyway, on the day of my perm, my stylist raised the price of the perm by $75.00. I reminded her I had a groupon so I didn't have to pay extra but I would have been infuriated if I was paying cash and she jacked up the price by $75 after she already starting washing my hair. When I went to check out, the front desk tried charging me an additional $125.00 but that got resolved quickly.
