After driving past this place so many times, and seeing their 30% off sign, I decided to finally try it out. I walked in, and the place was kind of dark, almost like they were closing, but it was only 4pm. There was no one working at the register, one of the other customers had to holler at the proprietors to get them to serve me. I got a pedicure and a manicure (normal, no acrylics). The tech that did my nails was very nice, and appeared to do a thorough job, which I appreciated. There were some things though, that bothered me about this place, which I will detail below. After starting my pedicure, which was after the tech was halfway through my manicure, he asked me if I'd like a drink. He went to go get it for me, but I did not see him wash his hands before getting the drink for me. I don't want the germs from everyone else's hands and feet on my drink. They should have separate staff for customer service/drinks and let the nail techs just work on nails! The whole process took over an hour, is that normal? It seemed to take way longer than necessary. I watched other customers who came in after me get their nails done and leave before I did. The massage chair that they seat you in for the pedicure has 2 OK settings, and 1 horrible, pounding setting that you cannot change or alter. It constantly alternates between the 3 settings. Not relaxing at all. And the worst part is: Although the tech did a good job on my nails, he cut my toenails with curved ends, which can cause ingrown and infected nails. It's EXTREMELY important to always cut toenails STRAIGHT across, otherwise you can develop an extremely painful ingrown toenail. Which is what I have now, to help me remember this place. Lastly, when I went to pay, I was informed that the 30% off special, despite being advertised every goddam place, including outside of the building, was no longer in effect. They had, instead, a 20% off special, but yet, my total still came to $32, which does not seem like 20% off at all. I did not get a breakdown of the totals either on the receipt. Shady, shady, shady! I will not be back.
