There's a line that goes "Me want gal sweet like jelabi!". All my friends would ask "WTF is a Jelabi????". Well let me tell to you what they are...they are like miniature fried funnel cakes and then dipped in an insanely syrupy concoction that just explodes with flavour. Oh hell yeah!
Surati's Sweet Mart is wholesale supplier that supplies supermarkets with Indian prepackaged goodies and snacks but what they are best known for are their insanely delicious white jalebis that they sell in their retail store. They also sell the traditional orange coloured ones and other various sweets and snacks but the white ones are the bomb!
Fried perfectly and sweetened with a syrup mix they are then topped with a sprinkle of pistachio and sliced almonds. Trust me once you have these jalebi all others will be a disappointment. People will even say these jalebi are perhaps the best in the world and even better then the ones in India!
Do note they don't make the jalebi fresh everyday. From what I understand only Thurs, Sat and Sundays so these are the best times to grab them. The line up can be slow as they do a lot of catering so keep that in mine the next time you are here especially during holiday seasons like Diwali.
