A friend and I were at Pars last night for the first time. I have never had Persian food before, But I am Greek. Some foods are very close in taste, such as the stuffed grape leaves with rice...have to say that is the best I've ever had (don't tell my mom lol). the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Our waitress suggested a combination appetizer which had the stuffed grape leaves and 3 different types of dips; hummus and one that was very simular to tzatziki which was very good. the app. was good but too much food or we have too little restraint as I could barely eat alittle of my main course. I have to say, some of the best pita bread I have had was here!....hot and fresh from the kitchen..My friend had the lamb and I had a vegetarian dish with marinated mushrooms and rice with lentils and currants. I expected heavily seasoned food for some reason....which it was not. the taste was amazingly mild but perfect in flavor and spice. My friends lamb did have a sauce that was seemed like a red curry which he said was just perfect. I will go again when I have the craving. This restaurant isn't close to my neighborhood but worth the drive.
