A fabulous place to shop for stone jewellery, beads, decorations, & even kitchen & housewares. You can find individual beads for less than $1, & huge geodes for $100s. I've seen everything from fossil serving plates to many types of stone candle holders over the years. The larger items are mostly organized by semi-precious stone/mineral type in display cases along the walls, with smaller pieces available from baskets on tables in the centre of the room. (If you haven't been there in a few years, you are in for a treat, as they have moved downstairs to a MUCH larger store & have a huge selection now) While they have a lot of new age signage & carry non-gem items such as incense, they have a decent handle on the geology as well. If you are a jewellery designer, they have greatly increased their selection of drilled beads strands, while still carrying many finished pendants & rings for people who want ready-made items. Definitely worth a trip just to go window shopping!
