I'M STUCK BETWEEN A 3 - 4 STAR. I'm feeling it will get better because I'm hoping they will get better. My original doggy day care went out of business (Paradise Bay) and this was the closest to my house. I've always heard that 2 of the employee of my old day care worked there so it encouraged me to pick this place. I was so use to the small family business doggy day care that when I walked into doggy district I was impressed with what services they had and the size of the place. I mean it was great that they sold a lot of dog food (names I've never heard of), grooming services, boarding, pooper scooper, walking services, and more. They have coffee in the morning when you walk in. They open at 6am, which is great to drop off before work and close at 7pm. I've been going there for at least a couple of months and they've been learning my dogs name, which made me feel better. There is a nice staff member, which I think is the manager and has been very nice and welcoming. I haven't met any one that has been not nice or "snooty". I hope I don't. I did have a concern, which I have brought it up with the front desk manager. My dog for the 3rd time has been smelling like..poo? fart? when he would walk by. He didn't have any DINGLE BERRY (LOL) and its just on the area of his butt where the sits. By the 3rd time my roomies and I were a bit concerned. A long day of work, who wants to give their dog a bath afterward? Also, hygiene wise that's just mind bogling and unsanitary! The manager listened and said she was going to see what was going on, which felt good. I did bring my dog recently and he didn't smell like poo. One of the staff members said they always mop and now changing the mop heads "more" frequently. SO, I hope this solves the problem. It is $20 for daycare. If you are only going to have your pet there for lets say 2 hours. You will still be charged the full $20, which I DON'T AGREE. SO I make sure my dog stays there for many hours. I think this is one of the pet peeve I have. AT times I just want my dog to play for an 1 or 2 hours while I do errands, but surely isn't worth it to pay that much for a short time.
