This is the first time I am getting eyelash extensions and of course I wanted to get them done from the best. I heard great reviews about Sassy Lashes from their Instagram and also from my sister herself. I wanted to wait the right time to actually get them done due to multiple reasons including maintenance and being able to afford them financially just in case I get hooked. So on 7/5 I decided to just go for it and get a feel of it. I booked for 7/7 since the Fort Apache location is really close from my job and I can just get them done once I get off work which is what happened. The booking process was easy and painless. I was texting Shauna directly about making my appointment. Any questions I had she was able to answer which was great. I got there it was a bit tricky to find but it's not a problem since I got there early. The salon was beautiful the ambiance is very classy and professional. Very clean and comfortable. I was too shy to take pictures but they have photos on their Instagram for anyone curious. Kaitlyn was my artist and she was friendly. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I got the classic set and it was done in about 1 1/2 hours. I really liked it and they gave me a little goodie bag with instructions to care for the lashes. Kaitlyn was very informative and answered all my questions and concerns.
There were a lot of fall outs within the week. I had more fallouts on my left eye than my right. Which probably is my fault since I wasn't quite sure how to take care of them. I noticed what works best for me is not to clean them thoroughly all the time which was what I was doing twice a day. I also figured that the classic set was too subtle for my liking. As I was looking through their Instagram and website I decided to inquire about transitioning to a mix set. I texted Shauna regarding the $40 weekly fill if I can do that since I am still within the 7 day grace period. I had asked her about and just let the artist know. So I booked another appointment on 7/14 for a weekly fill. There was a bit of misunderstanding which I would take full responsibility on since I should've been more descriptive on the amount of lashes I have left. I was booked with Claudia to get the fill but after 30 minutes they explained that her next client has arrived and that's where it was a situation since I only had 1 eye done. There was just a bit of misunderstanding and like I said I feel like it was my fault. They explained to me that the weekly fills are just for maintenance basically for simple touch ups. I should've figured that I had an idea but wasn't sure so I just let it be. Since I knew it was my fault I agreed to come back a few hours later to get the other eye done but with a different artist. I was a bit skeptical about that inside since I want my left eye to look exactly as my right. I trusted them and said that's fine. I didn't mind paying the extra charge since I never mind paying for services that I did get. I basically got a full set and Shauna was kind enough to just charge me with a mixed fill.
I came back later that day and my artist was Kelsey. She was awesome! She made a nice conversation with me which I enjoyed. I was planning to nap but she was really fun to talk to. She was great and was able to match my left eye to my right. I was very pleased over all. My goal was to get bomb ass eyelashes that will make me feel great about myself haha! And that's exactly what I got. I will definitely recommend coming and trying it out for yourselves. The artists are great and this is their passion. I am very honored to be able to pop my eyelash extension cherry at Sassy lashes.
