Poor selection and high prices means we only come here for occasional items. What is the worst, though is the bakery. That crappy Bettercream that they pass off as buttercream frosting on their cakes will make you puke. The stuff comes in a 5 gallon bucket in chocolate or white. It is scooped out of the bucket and whipped to make it fluffy. It is ALL chemicals and oils. There is no butter or cream or anything resembling real food in their "buttercream" icing. AVOID.
It also needs to be said, this Giant Eagle is a poor neighbor in Berea. Situated next to the Metroparks, the entrance to the park next to their store is constantly littered with bags, bottles, cans and wrappers. They should be better stewards of the location they have been given. It is shameful, appalling and embarrassing how they neglect the adjacent park to which their parking lot abuts!
The people who work here are friendly and attentive. Lines usually move quickly, but then I'm usually using the 10 items or less line, and the butcher in the meat department rocks! You can get anything you need, cut, trimmed and dressed the way you want it and never be treated like a nuisance for asking.
