The Scene:
December 27th 2009. 1 day after boxing day, but still inSANEly busy at any shopping centre you dare to enter. I am on the hunt for a Dell mini10v netbook to turn into a hackintosh and I know bestbuy sells them.
I enter the store and it's packed. There are approximately 10:1 customers to associates. And I want something form the stock room. *shudder*... actually think about leaving. Then I see him... a fresh faced smiling boy in a blue shirt, my knight in shining armor! I approach and make my request. He smiles genuinely and says "Great! I have 2 left but they're not very good colours." Then he rifles through his stock papers and says "hmn... I have one white one and one black one." I say I'll take the white one, but if it's gone, I'll take the black one. He disappears to retrieve the netbook, checks me out at the service desk and all I have to do is walk to the door and show security my receipt.
The good:
- These guys were ORGANIZED on boxing day! They all had print out inventory sheets and they could tell you right away if they had any of [whatever] left.
- They had tons of stuff left! This is a well stocked store.
- When I have used their check inventory feature in the past, it's been awesome. It's not available during the holidays because they have so much turnover.
- The guy who helped me was amazing. Everyone here was amazing. They were all calm, happy and very service-oriented on a hectic day.
The bad:
- it's really far from my house (but it's the closest one to drive to)
- It is a best buy. They don't have great prices on computer components. Great prices on actual computers though.
I will definitely shop here again. The parking situation is pretty decent and this is a good best buy for a best buy.
