When my dog of 8 years became sick, I took her to 1st Pet Veterinary Centers in the middle of the night. I was immediately welcomed by compassionate and helpful staff and my dog was examined right away. Unfortunately, upon examination, my dog had a life threatening condition. The staff was extremely knowledgable and answered all of my questions. They were very accommodating and discussed every possible solution to my dog's illness in great detail and went over many different financial solutions with me. They were very compassionate and caring, and gave me honest and thorough details about my pet and made sure I had a great understanding of what was going on. They were even helpful and knowledgable when speaking to my primary vet the next morning and worked to help my dog as much as they possibly could. After much hard thought and consideration, our family elected to have our dog euthanized in order to alleviate the additional pain and suffering. The decision was very tough one, but with the doctor's knowledge and everything she explained, I truly felt as though it was the most humane option. 1st Pet Veterinary Centers also made sure that my dog was pain free and gave her pain injections while she was alive. Throughout my experience, I never felt pressured to agree to any treatment because it would benefit them financially. They were very honest, caring and fair and everything was done to benefit my dog, and no one else. They even made the process of losing my first pet a lot more bearable, and were always a phone call away and the doctor didn't mind taking 10-15 minutes to talk on the phone if I had any questions. I truly felt as though my dog was in the best care, and I was always well informed of everything that was happening, and they always remembered my name and my pets name when I called in. They even mailed a sympathy card after I lost my dog which was a nice gesture! Thank you to the staff for being so caring and professional!
