SAQ is badass. I didn't know this existed until a day before our weekend extravaganza in Montreal. A friend of mine mentioned to make sure we definitely stop there to pick up liquor and wine before heading to our apartment for the weekend. Coincidentally, there's an SAQ about 2 blocks away from our place. Perfect.
I will say, their prices are quite high. I'm talking high in comparison to NYC prices. But, if convenience and a very decent selection of adult beverages is what you're looking for, this place is a great.
The SAQ staff also seems to be very helpful if you're undecided on what to purchase or have any questions at all. We wanted to support the local industry with our purchase and had asked for some recommendations.
Overall, we were pleased with SAQ and what it's all about.
