I'm so disappointed. When the kids and I came to the zoo 3 years ago it was SO awesome! I was looking so forward to taking the hubby here for his first zoo experience. We traveled the 4 hour drive to Calgary for our family fun weekend. I looked on the website a few times checking dates/time/admission etc and told our 5 year old son, 4 year old daughter and 4 year old nephew about the dinosaurs and animals we would see. When we got there it was so disappointing, most exhibits were closed/under construction. The Dino part was closed and we only seen 2 monkeys & 1 lion. The tigers- just as we were about to get to the window- were ushered inside the little enclosed gate so they could clean the cage. The 3 zebras we seen looked so depressed, even my son asked what was wrong with them. For the $100 admission I expected more- not being from calgary I would assume the website would have said "hey! Most exhibits are closed, we don't have an elephant or the dinasours!" Something! So frustrating. It was still an okay day... But I wish we would have known! I completely forgot about the flood in calgary/Edmonton from two years ago, so of course I understand why most things were under construction still/ animals relocated. But again- I wish the website would have specified.
