We went on the moonlight/star gazer kayak tour last night. So much fun! Everything was well organized and executed. Easy to book online. Clear directions/maps to get to the marina (allow longer than you think you need). About 20 kayaks (singles and tandems) launched into the water around 6:45, while the sun was still going down. Easy paddling for about 40 minutes or so, then stopped on a little island to look at the stars and make s'mores over an open fire. Our guide did a nice job of keeping the group together and talking about the stars and constellations during our stop. Then an easy 30 minute or so kayak back. All of the equipment was provided (except you need to bring your own headlamp or flashlight) and seemed to be in good condition. It's definitely a slow pace and easy paddling, so I think inexperienced paddlers could easily handle it. We wished we would have brought beer or wine - not sure if that is technically allowed but I do not think anyone would have noticed or cared. Such a great, unique experience. Would definitely do it again.
