I miss working right by this place. It was always a good change of pace from my old job. I usually get the fried catfish & shrimp combo, and switch out the fries for greens, okra gumbo, or red beans and rice. Which are all great except for the fact u never know what they actually have prepared. And the greens are great despite being vegitarian. The cobbler is great, the only problem here is again u never know what they actually have, how do not ALWAYS have all the varities of cobbler u sell when ur a cobbler shop!? I could amost never catch my fav cherry cobbler. And I worked basically across the street. Anyway not a huge deal since all the cobbler is really good. The fish & shrimp are great too. By far the best catfish ive had since moving to phoenix. Which in and of itself isnt saying too much since there arent really many options out here. But all in all a very good spot. Ill definetly be in there whenever im in downtown PHX. I just hope theyre actially open.
