Staying off the Strip has its disadvantages, at times; but it's cheaper, especially if you're just stopping over for a night or two. We were on our way to the Grand Canyon--Vegas being our midway point--and since we'd driven anyway, and Hard Rock's parking structures are pretty convenient and easy to locate, staying off the Strip was hardly a big deal.
Besides, it's nice at the Hard Rock. Our room, certainly reflective of its easy pricing, was cozy enough; and the colorful rock-n-roll memorabilia punctuated here and there throughout the hotel and casino invites one's playful sense of nostalgia to roam and to wonder at will.
The restaurants at Hard Rock weren't in our sights upon this shorter trip--buffets, instead, demanded our full ?attention (and they probably always will)--but who knows? Maybe someday Hard Rock will introduce one of its own. Nevertheless, for short, quick trips, we'll be back.
