I'll just tell you what happened and you can form your own opinion. We needed our solar heating PVC pipes extended from the eaves a few inches so a gutter could be installed. Maybe a half hour job. I phoned on Monday morning and was given an appointment for Wednesday morning between 8 and 10am, which was perfect as our gutter installation was scheduled for the morning of the following day. 10am came and went. I called for an update as I had several appointments and errands scheduled for that afternoon. A woman told me that an employee did not show up for work that day and the crew was running about 2 hours behind. I called again around 1:30pm (appt time was 8-10am) and got the answering machine. I explained that I just needed an approximate arrival time so I could reschedule my errands, or maybe run out and get a few things done if they were going to be much later. No one returned my call. At 2:30pm (appt time was 8-10am), I called the pool service person who had recommended Celestial to ask if HE could get an update because no one was returning my call. Remember, we had gutters going in the following morning. He quickly made the call and could only confirm that they would be out that day. The Celestial crew showed up at 5pm (appt time was 8-10am). The two man crew was courteous and professional. I told them the story and they were very apologetic. They said they'd see if the owner, John, would give me some sort of discount for my inconvenience. They completed the work and called John and were told the price was $350 (for a half hour PVC job). They suggested the discount, but he declined. I had remained polite and calm. I had simply requested an update on the arrival time so I could make productive use of my time. If they had had the courtesy to call and explain that they couldn't be out until 5pm, I would have been satisfied and would not have written this review. Their lack of communication resulted in a completely wasted day. This was shockingly unprofessional and inconsiderate. I've already found a new solar service company with stellar Yelp reviews.
