Garbage. Walked in and asked for a Salted Caramel cake, which took like 20 minutes just to bring out from the kitchen, but that would have been negligible if the cake was any good. When we got home and had a slice, it was just terrible. The thick icing felt and tasted like chewing up unflavored plastic clay, and the cake itself was crazy dry, like a display cake that had been sitting out for weeks. We thought maybe we were just... bad at eating cake?? So we gave the rest of the cake to a friend in hopes it wouldn't go completely to waste, who promptly messaged us to confirm that it was too gross to eat. Have had WAY better cake from Metro and only got one from here because it seemed like a fancy indulgence, but all it amounted to was a total waste of money. Judging by some of the positive reviews, it seems like maybe we just got a dud, but that hardly seems worth risking when there plenty of stores with more consistent quality and friendlier service.
