. WALMART STEAK HOUSE . Just recently opened! Watch for rave reviews! Review of PRODUCTS---NOT employees or customers But just to get it out of the way---since among several of the discount store reviews I've read on Yelp, it seems to be expected to write about employees and even innocently-minding-their-own-business customers (??), too---I'll add MY two cents worth. It might disappoint some readers, though, because mine will be boring and not the giggle-seeking type of comments, but here goes: Employees: Always smiling, friendly and helpful. Never rude or even slow. I'm the patient type, and perfectly willing to wait---within reason. I also have no problem repeating myself---maybe I wasn't clear. I'm also smart enough to know that not everyone can have above average I.Q.'s ---but there can certainly be some of those employed right here and in other discount/retail stores, too. Customers: Probably a wide range. From "paycheck to paycheck" to "excess of disposable income". From healthy-in-body to near-death's-door. From homely to handsome. From inked to un-inked. I say "probably" because I guess I'm just too busy looking for what I need, that---geez!---I never really LOOK at them. I can tell you THIS---unequivocally---each and every one is a human being. And unless I'm insulted, stabbed, spit on, or thrown down to the floor and stomped on, they all deserve my respect---not ridicule. PRODUCTS I'm not a regular, but of the 6 or 7 times in 10 years, I've always found what I was looking for, it's always been a great value, and I've always left totally happy with my purchases. Tramontina Dutch Oven * * * * * w-a-a-y less $ than M. Stewart and LeCreuset GE Microwave * * * * * hard-to-find extra-large shallow height; excellent price; ordered from their site, since not stocked. Everything went fine. STEAKS---great-tasting high-quality---STEAKS ! * * * * * the best USDA choice grade we've had in maybe a decade. Walmart---of all places! Totally impressed. Grocery stores---and a recent visit to a butcher---don't come close to the tenderness, juiciness, and true steak flavor that this too-often-unfairly-sneered-at-discount-store offered. After seeing their commercial a few times, decided to give it a try. With a 100% money-back guarantee, I'd be foolish not to. Skeptical at first, but no longer---I'd absolutel recommend. If they're not excellent---like ours---you either got one from a bad steer, or you can't cook a steak. These are the ones we got---all $$$ steakhouse quality---not some value buffet or chain---and all in BLACK styrofoam trays: . TOP SIRLOIN STEAK 6.18 lb. . THICK NEW YORK STRIP STEAK 9.98 lb. . T-BONE STEAK 9.98 lb. Give these well-trimmed "premium beef steaks" a try. For me, "seeing" the commercial wasn't believing, but TASTING the real thing, sure was. A true find, and we'll be back for more. Hope you get really great ones like we did. .
