I absolutely love Discovery Place! This science museum has been around since I was a kid, and it's gotten even better over the years. A great science museum has to be able to keep people of all ages entertained. If your kid can barely walk or you're a grandparent wanting to do something fun you will be satisfied. Our family can spend a good three hours here, and we've been here several times. If it's your first time, you could easily fill your day up here. A one time visit can be expensive for a family of four, so if you live in the area definitely go ahead and spring for the yearly membership. Just two visits pays for itself. There's a restaurant inside on the lower level with healthy food. The IMAX experience is amazing since it's not a normal movie screen but a half dome shape that surrounds you. Upstairs has a rotating exhibit, currently of DaVinci's machines and other works. There is private parking available, but you get a discount on the rate if you're a member. Great place to take the family!
