Located a 5 minute walk from the convention center, the staff was friendly, but that's where things go south. I wasn't expecting much for the money, but I chose it BECAUSE they advertise a "Bar, Restaurant and Gaming" and. This really sucked. The bar and restaurant are rarely open. Arriving Sunday for a Monday conference, I was told they're open not at all on Sunday or Monday. No beer, no football, no food for a mile walk. After the conference Tuesday, I walked back finally hoping for a burger and a beer, and to relax for the night. Nope. They tell me that although the bar is finally open, the kitchen isn't open on Tuesday. WTF? Continental breakfast? Nope. it's ONLY on Saturday or Sunday mornings. Gaming? There are four bar-embedded poker machines. That's it. Kicked back in my room for a while, planning to skip dinner, but finally set off to walk a mile and back just so I can eat. I got back in plenty of time to grab a beer, but no, they closed the damn bar an hour early because it was slow. How dare they charge a "resort fee"? What sort of "resort" has no food three out of 7 days in a week and doesn't even stay open for their posted hours? There's no amenities to speak of, so how can this hotel even have a resort fee?
