I've been a patient of Dr. Hoopes for over a year now and my dental anxiety is almost completely gone. From the very first appointment, when I walked in shaking with nerves, the entire office was calm, patient, and as relaxing as possible. Lisa Haverkate has done an amazing and gentle cleaning each time. Despite the fact that I needed a significant amount of work done, the past year of appointment have been far less stressful than any dentist's office I've visited in the past.
If you deal with dental anxiety, I recommend this office HIGHLY. Let them know you are nervous and they will treat you with extra kindness. (I suspect they may have flagged my file initially, because I am truly treated with the utmost gentleness for every appointment, and they frequently check with me through each appointment to make sure I'm doing okay.)
That said, even if you aren't a "nervous about the dentist" kind of person, this is still a fantastic dental office. Appointments start on time, almost never run late, and the hours are excellent for busy schedules.
