I really want to say I like shopping in person at The Bay but sadly my last experience was lacking. I saw some sandals in their weekly flyer that I specifically went to the store to purchase. First, it took me ages to find a flyer advertised item on the sales floor, tucked away in a corner. Then I needed to find the right size which took a while for the sales associate to check. Too bad for me that they didn't have the size I needed. Even worse, the shoe department associate didn't even offer to help me come up with a solution. I ended up looking around and found a great deal on a purse (not what I went out to buy) and eventually found an open cash with someone to help me (take my money). So I asked that staff member about how to find the right size in the sandals I wanted. She suggested buying them online and when I asked about the shipping policy she had to call someone to ask. In the end I went home and bought the sandals online (a decent shopping experience) but the shipping information they told me in-store was completely wrong. So, overall, shopping at The Bay is better online than in-person. The in-store experience is sadly lacking as the sales staff (if you can find one) are lacking in customer service skills and knowledge. I really wanted the experience to be better.
