My condo association (uptown) terminated William Douglas and switched to another property manager which, while not perfect, is better than William Douglas. So when a large uptown building terminates William Douglas and moves to another property manager that charges more, just what does that tell you about how bad William Douglas is? My biggest gripe about William Douglas is that they try to pass the buck and deny responsibility. They claim that they're just an "agent" of the HOA and have no responsibility or liability whatsoever (they use that argument to remove bad BBB ratings). If they're not obligated to do ANYTHING, just what are they paid to do? They sure don't keep up properties in good repair, that's for sure--and to William Douglas, it's always someone else's fault.
