We visited Meat & Potatoes last Saturday for a pre-dinner drink. Upon arrival at 5:30pm, the restaurant AND bar were packed. After making a circle around the bar to find seats, we went out to the hostess station to ask about a table. Unfortunately, Meat & Potatoes was completely booked for the evening. We really wanted to try at least something while we were there, so we went back to the bar.
I sat down at the only empty seat while my fiancé stood next to me. I asked the bartender (who looked amazing in the flannel shirt and cabby hat) for a drink suggestion. Per my taste buds, he recommended the Vanilla Sky. It tasted slightly tart with hints of anise and vanilla. As a black licorice lover, I truly enjoyed this beverage! My fiancé got the 21st Amendment Back in Black. We both really enjoyed our drinks and plan on returning to Meat & Potatoes - on a night we have made reservations.
