We spotted the Naaco food truck at the Calgary Stampede festival this weekend and were intrigued. Indian-mexican-inspired-fusion food? Naaco == Naan + Taco. Definitely a must try in my book! And were we pleasantly surprised!? Oh yeah! The Naaco dishes were superbly crafted and very creative! The flavors exploded in our mouth - tangy, spicy & sweet! The folks in the food truck were super friendly and gave us the low down on their popular dishes. We decided to try the Naaco TNT which is a take on the Indian bhelpuri, and the Naaco Murgh Madness which was as uniquely refreshing as it was delicious! The sweet raisins and mango peach chutney added some real pizazz. The Naaco TNT (served in a paper cone, true bhelpuri style) was SOOOOO good that we actually went back for seconds after a few hours of wandering around the Calgary Stampede! The Naaco TNT tasted even better the second time around - the puffed rice, fresh cucumber salsa, cornflakes crunch and the tamarind-mint-chutney hit the spot! Great going Naaco! Keep up the great work and we really hope you open up a branch in the San Francisco Bay Area soon too! Curry Up Now could use the competition! :)
