My experience was actually nice until I met the technician. The front desk staff were very friendly, asked if I needed activities for my 19mo old.
I came in for a 20 week ultrasound. When the technician came out she called my name and waited a good 15 yards from me at the desk. She had an annoyed, impatient look while she waited for me to gather my things and my child. As I picked up my child, the lid popped off the cup I had, so I had to put my child down to put the lid back on, then I stuffed the cup in my purse and grabbed my child. I turn around and she says "is somebody coming ri help you because we really need to get on with this?"
I just feel that I'm instead of being entitled and rude she could have simply grabbed the cup for me and she wouldn't have been so inconvenienced by having to wait for me. Through most of the imaging she barely spoke, she was strictly there to do her job, not deal with people and their kids.
The next day when I went to see my midwife, the technician wrote in the notes that I must be lying about my due dates.
Wish I could give her name because shes certainly in the wrong line of business if that's the way she deals with people.
As someone who has joined the healthcare profession, I have a strong desire to help people. You can't lose your humanity in this field.
