I was heading next door to the buffet when I caught the guy making noodles in the window. I watched him for a while, wondering if I should go there instead of the buffet. But I headed around the corner anyway. I saw the line for the buffet and immediately turned around to try those noodles. Honestly I'm surprised by the bad reviews. I was a party of 1, and sat at the back bar. I ordered the Cold noodles with cucumber and beef. It came with a quite spicy peanut sauce (if you don't like spicy, this isn't for you). I also ordered the Xiao Long Bao. Xiao Long Bao were average. Which is fine. I enjoyed them and would order them again. I do love Xiao Long Bao. But the noodles. Wow, never had a noodle like that in my life. It was a beautiful thing. The guy making the noodles is an artist. Amazing texture and so so fresh. I've never had any noodle like that and I LOVE noodles. I wish I could find something like that here in my home town of Chicago. If you like spicy food, I would recommend the cold noodles. A thing of beauty. Really. I loved it.
