We adopted a dog December 2016 and were told she was skittish, coming from an abuse situation. We gave her time, but she would still run away and hide under the bed. It took 15-20 minutes just to get her into the carrier for vet visits. We were at our wits end. I went on line and found Off Leash K9 Training. They offered a two-week board and train option. I wrote a long list of the problems on their online chat feature. They responded instantly. We were going on a 10-day vacation, so arranged for them to get her (usually you have to drop off your dog, but with Milli's issues, they picked her up). She ended up accepting Heather, instead of the train er they'd planned on having her to. Heather was wonderful. She sent text messages and videos if Milli's progress. When we got back, she said that because of Milli's prior trauma, she wasn't ready/safe to come home. It ended up with Milli being there for two months, not two weeks. We now have a dog that lets us pet her. She comes when called. She no longer pees when faced with new situations. She is so much happier. Even the vet commented on how much calmer she is. We have the dog we always wanted. Heather is a miracle worker.
