Do you want to see some dinosaurs then follow the footprints to Mesa. This is a wonderful museum for any age. As a teacher I come here every year for field trips. It never gets old. They are always updating their exhibits and adding new things. This museum has a movie section which shows posters of movies that were filmed in Arizona. The dinosaurs are way cool plus the monsoon show is so neat. They show it at different times of the day.
The panning for gold is so popular plus it's fun. They also have an old jail cell with bed to show you how it use to be. This museum is set up into sections so everything about mining for gold is in one area. The dinosaurs are in another section. There is so much to learn and explore here. They have a cute gift shop and the entrance area is cool with a wooly mammoth!
The staff is wonderful and so helpful. Please know this museum is not open on Monday's.
