We are trying to do everything Calgary has to offer and this weekend for some reason, we decided to get tickets cheaper through work and go to the corn maze. But we did not enter any corn maze if that makes sense.
I love visiting the country from time to time and that about sums up today. We went to the country, got filthy from the dirt, fed some animals and saw some really cute 7 week old pigs trying to race around a tiny track. 1 star for the piggies. They were more interested in eating the grass on the track than racing but you pick your color of pig and cheer him/her on anyways.
We do not have kids, went here anyways and I would have to say, unless you have kids under the age of 5, they may not like it too much.
I would not say that the place is disorganized - there is a map they give you at admission for little activities but you just kind of wander around a small little square and then you are done. The staff almost look tortured to be there.
We did the whole thing, lingering if you will and it took 90 min. The food is expensive so bring your own food/drinks. We did get some fudge that looked ok and paid a lot for a small, melting ice cream cone that we had to wait for and I have no idea where it came from but it took 10 min.
I was praying to God they had a beer tent of some sort but no such luck!
We got on the little train that takes 5 min. to ride around the edge of the corn.
Bring quarters to buy feed for the animals - goats, sheep, (do not feed the donkeys or you will be lectured by a 12 year old! Whoops!) chickens, kittens, rabbits and of course the star piglets that race 3 times a day for 2 laps worth.
If you live south and you have small kids, this could kill half your day if you pack a lunch. If you live way north, maybe you should skip it. Or not.
I would have preferred to have spent my $ on a really good movie.
