Andres was very proactive initially. He quickly responded to my request for a quote and then provided a reasonable quote based on photos I took. Due to his quick response and his stated availability within a couple weeks, I went ahead and hired him for removal of trees. That is where the positive impressions ended. He stated that he would be in the neighborhood the week before to see the trees and confirm the quote. This did not happen. I didn't really care as he had stated that my photos were good, but this should have been a flag. At 3:30 p.m. on the day before he was scheduled to do the work, he stated that he was not going to make it because of two reasons. One: the potential for rain. Rain had been in the forecast for a week, yet this was the first time he mentioned it. BTW, it only sprinkled that day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.; there was no precipitation afterwards. Two (the more likely reason): he had overcommitted himself. His solution? To delay my job for more than three weeks later after I had already waited for a couple weeks. After stated that was unacceptable, he suggested that perhaps he could make it earlier, but he wouldn't know until the last minute and would contact me if he could do it at this earlier date. He did not contact me. As a contractor myself, I abhor this lack of commitment and the last-minute notice. If you choose him, make sure that you have a back-up plan. Thankfully, I had received several quotes within the same price range and was able to get the work done within my desired time frame.
