I love Dave's. Not just because it's within walking distance of my house, but that's a plus, too. There's a good selection of produce at this store and I know I can always run there if I need anything from black beans to beer. They have an extensive selection of vegetarian frozen foods and meat alternatives, which is a plus for me when I don't feel like driving to Whole Foods. Their wine selection is great and if wine's not your thing, they even have a state liquor store inside. Sure, it's not a fancy store. But sometimes I don't need frills - I just need food. The absolute best part about this store is that it's virtually never busy. I rarely have to wait in line. And even when I do, the cashiers are generally pretty friendly. I also feel good when I buy groceries at Dave's because I'm sort of shopping local. Sure, this is a chain...but it's a smallish-Cleveland based chain. If you live in the Highland Heights-Mayfield-Lyndhurst-South Euclid area, it's worth checking out. You might never go back to that big Pittsburgh chain again...
