I have been to so many weddings, I have lost track. Biggest deal to me...THE FOOD at the reception. My expectations for food served after a wedding ceremony is "eh" (usually just the same ol' same ol'). I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with the food we were served at Country Lakes in October. Prior to dinner guests were able to nibble on cheese, meats & crackers. We were then served our dinner of Italian wedding soup, grilled chicken breast with a simple lemon butter sauce, roasted red skinned potatoes, mixed vegetables and pasta with red sauce. Cheese and crackers are, well, cheese and crackers and the pasta was nothing special in my opinion (but it still was not bad). Aside from that, I was completely shocked at the quality/taste of the other items I mentioned. Again, I was simply a guest at a wedding reception and therefore, I did not interact with the staff as a Bride or Groom. The rooms are more than accommodating for guests & Country Lakes also has lovely outdoor areas (including a gazebo), secluded from traffic. From my personal view, the outdoor areas would be ideal for a memorable wedding ceremony or special event.
