We just returned after a 10-day stay at Chez Patrac. We had a wonderful time! The apartment itself is clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals every day, which saved tons of money (restaurants in Montreal are expensive). The best part of the apartment is the gorgeous deck, where we spent every evening enjoying dinner, wine, and relaxing.
The apartment is about a 10-15 minute walk to Marche Jean-Talon, which is the first thing we did in Montreal-- stocked up on tons of fresh fruits, veggies, local meats and eggs and bread. The apartment is only 5 minutes walk to the Beaubien Metro (subway), which we used almost every day to explore the sights of Montreal. The subway is clean and extremely efficient, and cost-effective if you buy an Opus card.
Alain was a nice host (he and his wife live downstairs), and although we didn't need anything, he made sure we knew we could always knock on his door if we did. The rental process itself was easy, and he immediately refunded to us our security deposit after we checked out. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we can't wait to go back!
