Based on a Yelper friends review, I had this place in mind since I Love Vietnamese food. I have to say it didn't quite meet all my expectations, but when you consider all the elements: food, ambiance, service, and price, I would agree that District One is not bad. Loved the ambiance (lots of room, not much waiting, good for large groups). Service was good. The food had mixed reviews in our group. Me personally, I thought both the chicken pho and lobster pho were delicious - the broth packed in the flavor. I also like the rice combo dish. We choose kalbi, which included a side of lop chong sausage and sunny side up egg. Disliked: not a fan of their papaya salad nor the fresh spring rolls. I also didn't care for the vodka mule drink, nor the coconut cocktail. Stick to beer or wine, play it safe. Otherwise not a bad place to meet up with friends. I still think my little hole in the wall mom n pop Vietnamese place would run circles around this place as far as food goes. But ...this is a better fun hang out choice, in my opinion.
