Well, now that this Loblaws has the same snazzy look as the rest of the freshly minted stores, let's justify this by jacking up prices. Seriously, I couldn't find a pound of packaged ground beef here that was less than $7. The Lebanese flat bread that I can buy just about anywhere else for $1.49 was $2.49 and don't get me started on the dried lobster mushrooms at $88.98/lb. Who buys this stuff? I remember when Loblaws was open to all classes of customers, but now it seems like they want to push out the lower income shoppers out and focus solely on their their wealthier clientele .
