I wonder if I have unrealistic expectations but I just don't see how it's sanitary for a manicurist to just pull out a box of tools from under a desk to give someone a manicure. I usually go someplace else but they were booked so my daughter and I stopped in here... I got a manicure and she got a manicure and a pedicure. The other place that I go to pulls out individual sterilized packets of tools and they use a freshly opened for each individual customer. They have a sterilizing machine that I watch them take the tools after every customer and put into the sterilizing machine. This place just pulled a box of tools out from under a desk. Maybe this is more common than I thought but it just seems so unsanitary. Despite this, my manicure was fine although I did not have them paint my nails, just wanted them cleaned up. My daughter had a manicure and a pedicure and it was just OK. The nail polish was applied pretty sloppily, lots of air bubbles and the sides of her nails were left unpainted. Overall, I was not impressed and would not be back.
