Well color me disappointed :-/ friends and family came in from out of town and this is the place I present to them, go ahead and take away my sushi whore status. They weren't really disappointed but we all were drinking and enjoying each other company so the food really wasn't a focus. They were on a budget so the happy hour AYCE for $20 was a saving grace :-) only 2 out of the 6 people did AYCE. The ones that didn't did get a kick out of the low price of the rolls, but with those low prices corners will be cut. The sushi was little rice and paper thin cut fish. I wasn't hungry so I just had a Joe's Special roll which sounded better than it actually was. The garlic sauce tasted like burnt garlic. The tuna was low quality and very thin. I also had a Philadelphia roll, not sure why I ordered it but I did. There is a reason the cost was $3, don't expect much more than a couple grains of rice and a sliver of salmon, with a nice chunk of cream cheese :-/ yuck! My two rolls plus tax and gratuity came out to $14. I'm not breaking the bank at all with that meal but I can still think of others places I rather eat for that amount. The services was hit and miss, the new guy was very nice and helpful. He had zero clue what was going on but he ran to find out. I like that :-) I don't expect people to have all the answers but I do expect them to make a effort to find out. The seasoned pro that came to answer of question was lacking in the personality department. My cousin was placing her order with him and asked to keep out cucumber from her roll. He snapped back with a, well then you want a "blah blah roll then!" Sir, I don't know your damn menu! Don't snap at a customer and make us feel like we need to be better versed with your menu! At least the newbie dude chipper go get 'em personality won us all over. I'm tempted to put this place at a 2 star but the prices reflect the quality so I'm keeping the 3 stars. I'm cool with never returning to this place. I rather spend more for sushi that puts a silly grin on my face :-) Just like everything else in my life, it's quality over quantity.
